Children Concert with Marko Simsa: Bombo Poncho and Guitare
22.01.2010, 15:30
Marko Simsa in the Haus der Musik with latin folkmusic!
Marko Simsa will be telling abut life in South America. We will learn that the people there wear ponchos and play musical instruments that you might not have seen before. One of them is the bombo, a large drum made of a hollowed out tree trunk with a goat skin stretched over it. There is a rattle filled with goat's toenails and the charango, a plucked instrument with five double strings and a curved sound box, which used to be made of an armadillo shell but is now made of wood.
