Giant Sand

On the third evening of our 10-year anniversary festival, the American band Giant Sand will perform in the courtyard of Haus der Musik.

Giant Sand (Worms) was founded in Tucson, Arizona in 1980, and was the first, of a series of bands, playing, what came to be called, Desert Rock. Bands like Naked Press, Meat Puppets, Green on Red and Calexico (founded by the two former Giant Sand members, John Convertino and Joey Burns) bring us playful guitar rock; a sort of soundtrack to Arizona's desert landscape.
