Success for Chopin
Suspense for the 10-year anniversary!
Visitors and media are meeting Haus der Musik's Chopin exhibition with great interest. Together with the curating, Chopin's largely unknown relations to Vienna and their filmic representation are attracting particular attention.
In April a concert will complement our Chopin focus! "Chopin Around" awaits you with contemporary Chopin interpretations.
The Chopin exhibition also marks the launch of Haus der Musik's anniversary festival. In the first week of June, the Sound Museum honours its ten-year anniversary with a weeklong festival, featuring a firework of events, many surprises and colourful programming.
Haus der Musik is, after all, among the city's most popular museums. This success is owed to the continuous efforts of our staff, as well as numerous musicians and artists.
In the coming years, the Sound Museum will continuously upgrade its interactive features to offer ever new music experiences.
At the same time, we maintain our programmatic focus: young sophisticated music performances, clever children's programme, smart events and small yet superb exhibitions.

Haus der Musik, in cooperation with Vienna Songwriting Association, presents two Live on Stage-Concerts in April. English folk music - peppered with drums and bass, piano and violin themes as well as a melancholic mix of accordion and woodwinds as well as new Indiepop from Vienna. |

Thanks to popular demand, Marko Simsa will perform his "Zoo-Show" twice in a row. Together with Bernhard Fibich's "G'schamster Diener, Teddybär" his performance is among the favourites of our young visitors. |

Alongside the Vienna Boys' Choir, the Mozartknaben Choir is one of the best choirs in Vienna. Its enthusiastic members meet regularly and rehearse like professionals. They have now found a further outlet for their talents at Haus der Musik.

 | Tip: VSA from now on at Fledermaus The Vienna Songwriting Association has found a new, additional, home!
The Vienna Songwriting Association is leaving "Vorstadt" and moving to Fledermaus. The location - rich in tradition and formerly host to great figures, such as Gerhard Bronner - will from now on feature national and international musicians every first and third Wednesday of the month.
