In November the Sound Museum offered its visitors varied entertainment. For an impression of the events visit our photo archive.
Now that the year's end is drawing near, the Sound Museum holds in store some very special highlights. With a musical Christmas programme for young and old, Haus der Musik sweetens the wait for the eagerly awaited holidays.
This year, it is the musicians of exil.arte who strike up the Sound Museum's festivities with a concert, marking their five-year anniversary, on December 2.
On December 5, the Austrian quartet "Aber das Leben lebt" awaits our visitors with a presentation of their new album "New Musketeers" Live-on-Stage.
On December 7, BEST FRIENDS combine Christmassy tunes with a pinch of satire in their show "Christmas Forever!". Croatian pianist Vitomir Ivanjek offers more contemplative tunes on December 10. Accompanied by a choir, he presents famous Christmas carols from his Croatian homeland.
Besides its music programme, and its children's guided tours at Christmas Eve, the Sound Museum offers music aficionados also a range of creative gift ideas. At Haus der Musik's museum shop you can find a great selection of CDs, witty accessories and many things more. For a gift that keeps on giving, consider a Dinner and Sound package or the Haus der Musik's MemberCard. By the way, a small surprise gift can be found here.
To duly celebrate the end of the year, Haus der Musik has come up with something special. In course of the Vienna New Year's Trail Haus der Musik offers free entry to the museum from 2pm to 10pm on December 31!
As our last tip in 2011 we present the special Christmas offers of other Vienna Holding cultural institutions.
