Mozart, Children & Concerts
Following a successful start into 2012 - the Sound Museum drew more than 1000 visitors on New Year's night - the musical adventure continues. In the coming weeks Haus der Musik offers stimulation for all senses.
On January 27, we host a Mozart anniversary special. Speaking of Mozart's birthday, Mozarthaus Vienna marks the occasion with an Open House on January 29.
For Valentine's Day, Haus der Musik offers a special treat by giving away two vouchers for a museum visit and dinner at our Restaurant Huth for two persons each.
Mid-month we present a new cabinet exhibition featuring works of media artist Johannes Deutsch.
On February 24, Einar Stray visits Haus der Musik for a Live on Stage performance. The concert organised in cooperation with the Vienna Songwriting Association, promises haunting string, guitar and piano sounds.
Our little visitors can look forward to the end of the month. In addition to a sing and play along concert by our famous children's song maker Bernhard Fibich on February 25, the kids are invited to a funny special guided tour at Mardi Gras. The menu includes curiosities, chants, jokes and many things more!
Those who favour classical music should mark February 24. During a one hour concert, the Mozart Boys Choir Vienna puts young and old under its spell. Entry is as always free!

On February 24, at 8pm Haus der Musik in cooperation with the Vienna Songwriting Association presents a very special Live on Stage concert by Norwegian singer and songwriter Einar Stray.

In February children can look forward to a colourful musical programme. At Mardi Gras kids venture on a very special children's guided tour and on February 25, they can join in when Bernhard Fibich sings about sunshine and rain.

 | Classic music for young and old Mozart Boys Choir Vienna
The renowned Mozart Boys Choir Vienna performs in Haus der Musik's glass-roofed inner courtyard on February 24, at 6pm. The menu includes a potpourri of clerical songs, entertaining canons by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and lively polka tunes by Johann Strauss.

 | Sonosphere - The Detection Laboratory Installation of the month
The detection laboratory is located on Haus der Musik's 2nd floor. This interactive installation not only lets you hear aural phenomena, it also makes them visible. Six interactive terminals offer visitors the opportunity to experiment, venture through various probable and improbably acoustic spaces and practise their perception skills.

On time for Valentine's Day, Haus der Musik gives away two Dinner & Sound packages for two persons each. Try your luck at winning a feast for all senses.

On January 27, Haus der Musik is honouring Mozart's 256th birthday with a special offer. Only two days later, on January 29, Mozarthaus Vienna, which also forms part of Vienna Holding, offers free entry and special programming for the whole family.
