Virtual Conductor and Haydn live
The new Live on Stage programme for the summer is now available, with attractions that include The Miserable Rich, Bowerbirds, Maria Doyle Kennedy and Francis International Airport, all artists of international repute. HAUS DER MUSIK has become something of a talent scout in Vienna, not least thanks to the outstanding cooperation with the Vienna Song-Writing Association.
This enables us to address different target groups and to attract new fans to our institution. The visitor statistics are more than satisfactory and we shall therefore continue to invest in the future not only in new interactive attractions such as a relaunch of the Virtual Conductor, which we present in this issue in an interview with Simon K. Posch, but also in the music programme and in particular in young soloists and groups who combine superior lyrics with high-quality new music.
During the summer there will be classical Haydn concerts in the foyer of HAUS DER MUSIK, and an installation "A Haydn Work" will also offer visitors a foretaste of the major Haydn celebration taking place at various venues in Eisenstadt.
We should also like to advise you of two further cultural events: an impressive exhibition of Picasso graphic prints in Kunst Haus Wien and the highly praised exhibition on prejudices at the Jewish Museum Vienna.
The Wiener Festwochen take place this month in Vienna and there will also be plenty of festivals for music lovers throughout the summer. We will be reporting in greater detail in the next edition of the Newsletter.
