BOTANICA - LIVE ON STAGE
Music with depth and beautiful melodies
A few brief guitar chords, minimal percussion, Wurlitzer electric piano, a rough, expressive voice between John Cale, Elvis Costello and Matt Johnson - and one is in the thick of the Botanica sound. Live on Stage at Haus der Musik - 21 September 2010 at 8 p.m..
Paul Wallfisch, himself front man and main songwriter of the band Botanica, has his hands full - when he's not other people's producer or performs with other bands, he looks after his own band, with which he' leans towards Nick Cave, 16 Horsepower, Tom Waits and even the Jon Spencer Blues Explosion. Music with depth and beautiful melodies, complex, and no average pop numbers. The band are: Christian Bongers (bass), Matt Flynn (drums), Oren Kaplan (guitar), and a few guests - but more on that another time.
