EXPERIENCE CULTURE AND SAVE MONEY

The new family tickets for the Stadthalle and Vereinigte Bühnen Wien

Following on from the Museum Melange, which includes reduced admission to Haus der Musik, Wien Holding is encouraging young people and families to visit the theatre and opera with its new cultural offer. The Family Card offers reduced admission to selected performances at Vereinigte Bühnen locations: Raimundtheater, Ronacher and Theater an der Wien as well as Stadthalle.

The new family ticket was presented by Deputy Mayor and Executive Councillor for Finance and Economic Affairs Renate Brauner together with Wien Holding managing director Peter Hanke, Thomas Drozda, managing director of Vereinigte Bühnen Wien, and Peter Gruber, managing director of Wiener Stadthalle.

Culture at affordable prices

"Culture is one of the most important social and economic resources and thus a vital element in a cosmopolitan and tolerant city. Wien Holding cultural institutions offer an outstanding programme, but we also want the culture there to be affordable, especially in these difficult economic times. Families with children are a particular priority. The family tickets for Vereinigte Bühnen Wien and Wiener Stadthalle are an important step in this direction," says Brauner.

Wien Holding's social responsibility

"As a municipal company we have a commitment to our owners, the City of Vienna, and ultimately to the inhabitants of the city themselves. Our aim is not to achieve maximum profitability at any cost but rather to increase the quality of life and offer a public service. Every year some 2.5 million people visit our cultural institutions.

This enables us to launch initiatives and put our corporate philosophy into practice: we offer a top-quality programme at attractive and affordable prices. The family tickets are an excellent example of this approach," explains Wien Holding managing director Peter Hanke.
