WITH SWING AND GRAND AIR INTO THE NEW DECADE
New Year's Eve at Haus der Musik. From 2 p.m. until the New Year.
The Viennese New Year's Trail will gather more than half a million music lovers and Vienna fans in the city centre, which will be turned into a huge open air ballroom. This year's celebration will be especially entertaining: Graben and Kärntner Strasse have been newly paved, making the "dance floor" even smoother and more comfortable. Moreover, there will be a surprising lighting concept: Leading from the City Hall to Haus der Musik, probably the most popular location of the New Year's Trail.
This year, for the 19th time, the Viennese city centre will turn into a unique festive stage the evening of the 31st December.
Where to dance in a wonderful way!
Waltz, samba and many more appealing dances will await you by Dance School Chris from 2 p.m. at the New Year's Fun at Haus der Musik. "Join the dancing" is the motto for Him and Her, Young and Old. Apart from shows and dance acts, there will be lottery prizes to be won. The Sound Museum will be open at New Year's Eve until 10 p.m., with free museum admission between 6 p.m. and 10 p.m. The dance programme will finish at 1 a.m.
